MEET ME AT THE BOOTH

The Listening Booth isn't just a venue; it's a sanctuary for those who believe music is more than background noise. Nestled in Lewes, Delaware, this space is where melodies meet meaning, and every note tells a story.

Founded by Marissa Levy Lerer—a singer-songwriter who traded Brooklyn's bustle for Lewes' laid-back charm—the Booth emerged from a desire to fill the void in the local original music scene. Marissa's journey from sharing stages with Matt Nathanson and Lisa Loeb to creating a haven for artists and audiences alike is a testament to her commitment to authentic musical expression.

At The Listening Booth, the focus is on original music that resonates. It's a place where artists can share their narratives, and listeners can find a piece of themselves in the songs. With a capacity of about 100 seats, the venue offers an intimate setting that fosters genuine connections between performers and the audience.

The Booth's calendar is a curated mix of acoustic open mic nights, songwriting workshops, and performances by both emerging talents and seasoned musicians. It's a space where the community comes together to celebrate the art of storytelling through music.

For those looking to be part of this musical journey, The Listening Booth offers opportunities to support its mission. Whether through sponsorships, donations, or simply attending a show, every contribution helps keep the music playing and the community thriving.

In a world where music often feels commodified, The Listening Booth stands as a reminder of its true essence—a shared experience that connects us all.
