Nate McCormick is an ever evolving artist with a work hardened musical history that spans over two decades. Since 2004, he has taken the stage as the frontman for five original bands, producing and recording three full-length albums and two EPs along the way. Nateâs journey began in high school as the formation of a punk rock trio called Identity Crysis, a name that reflects ongoing exploration of identity as an artist. Â This evolution seems to continue to this day, much to his attitude. Â Â
Having navigated genres from punk and metal to jam band, Nateâs eclectic influences have fostered a unique style that resists easy categorization. His voice has drawn comparisons to legendary artists such as Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, and Ben Gibbard, while his guitar work showcases a diverse range of techniques inspired by musicians like Trey Anastasio, Jerry Garcia, Taj Mahal, and James Taylor.
Since the mainstream debut of loopers in 2009, Nate has embraced this innovative tool in his performances, crafting a signature sound that makes each show a one-of-a-kind experience. His approach to looping adds a layer of spontaneity and creativity, ensuring that no two performances are ever the same. With a commitment to keeping the groove alive, Nate delivers soulful and passionate vocals alongside world-class musicianship. Whether performing solo or collaborating with fellow artists, Nate McCormick invites audiences to join him on a musical journey where they are encouraged to âkeep on dancing, keep on singing.â Â As he continues to evolve, Nate remains dedicated to his craft, always exploring new stylistic avenues and connecting with listeners through the power of music.
